Bangkok: Prime Minister Suretta Thabisin on Thursday announced Thailand's Vision 2030, which aims to make Thailand a global industrial hub in eight sectors including tourism, wellness and healthcare, and agriculture.
Suretta, who is also finance minister, cited this vision as an ambitious goal, saying the government also has plans to establish an aviation, logistics, future electric vehicle, digital economy and financial hub in the kingdom.
In order to emerge as a tourism hub, the government will continue to allow visa-free entry for tourists from China, Kazakhstan and India, as well as CLMV countries, especially Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar and Vietnam.
“The government plans to ease regulations, increase film production in Thailand, and allow global event organizers to host shows and exhibitions in Thailand.
